Girl Scout Kaper Charts
Kaper charts are great for dividing out tasks among the girls in your troop and in turn, teaching them responsibility. Kaper charts should be created in bright colors and patterns that catch the eye, but are easily readable. Below are a few ideas to get you started on creating a fun, flexible kaper chart for the girl scouts in your troop. - Buy smaller sized, shaped writing pads in different colors. You can buy these at any major retail, crafting, or paper supply store. They come in seasonal shapes as well as fun shapes for any time of the year! Write each girl's name on a slip of the shaped paper and use this on your kaper chart. - Buy a large piece of felt in one color, and smaller pieces of felt in a variety of colors. Sew rectangles of felt onto the large piece with the different tasks written on them. Then cut out shapes in different colors of felt and write each girl's name on them to use on your kaper chart. Kaper charts can be as simple or complex as you want them to be. The only limit is your imagination! Just be sure that your kaper chart suits the needs of the girls in your troop and you, as the troop leader!
